Tangle Worlds - Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Android game Tangle Worlds ("the Game", package name com.rmpuzzlegames.tangleworlds) handles information. The Game is published by RM Puzzle Games ("we", "us", "our"). For the purposes of data protection laws such as the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), RM Puzzle Games is responsible for the Game.
If you have any question about this policy, contact us at rmpuzzlegames.support@gmail.com.
1. Summary
- The Game has no accounts, no sign-in and no chat. We do not run servers that receive or store your data.
- Your game progress is saved only on your device.
- The Game shows ads from Google AdMob: optional rewarded videos that you choose to watch, and short ads between some levels. Google may collect device information, including your device's advertising ID, as described in Section 4.
- The Game offers optional in-app purchases (coin packs and "Remove ads"), processed by Google Play (Section 5).
- The Game does not use any analytics, crash-reporting or attribution service.
2. Information stored on your device
The Game saves the following information in its private storage on your device so that you can continue where you left off:
- level progress, stars, the current level and saved boards;
- coins, hearts, the pictures in your gallery and the worlds you have unlocked;
- Daily Challenge streak and daily gift status;
- tutorial status and settings (music, sound, vibration, reduced motion, chosen world);
- advertising frequency counters (so that ads between levels are not shown too often);
- purchase records: the Google Play order IDs of purchases already delivered and whether "Remove ads" was bought, so a purchase is never delivered twice;
- your privacy choices for ads, stored by Google's consent software where it applies (Section 4.3).
This information is not sent to us. It contains no name, email address, phone number or contact details.
Suggested world. On first start, the Game reads your phone's region setting (the country of your device language, for example India) to suggest a world that may suit you. This happens on your device only; nothing is sent anywhere and no location permission is used.
Android backup. If you have enabled backup on your Android device, Android may include the Game's saved data in your device backup to your Google Account. This backup is provided and controlled by Google under your Google Account settings, not by us. See Back up or restore data on your Android device.
3. Information we collect
We do not collect personal information directly. The Game has no forms or accounts, and the Game's own code does not send your data to any server operated by us. We do not use analytics, crash reporting or attribution services.
Sharing pictures
When you tap Share on a finished picture, the Game saves the picture as an image in your phone's Pictures/Tangle Worlds folder and opens Android's share sheet. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose an app to share it with; that app then handles it under its own privacy policy.
4. Advertising
4.1 Our advertising partner
| Service | Provider | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Google LLC | Ad network: delivers rewarded videos and ads between levels |
| User Messaging Platform | Google LLC | Shows the consent form and the "Ad privacy choices" option where the law requires it |
Rewarded ads play only when you choose to watch one, for example for a free hint, an extra heart, double coins or free coins. Short ads can appear between levels, not before level 10 and not more often than every few levels. Buying "Remove ads" turns off the ads between levels; rewarded ads stay available if you choose to watch them.
4.2 Information Google may collect
Subject to Section 4.3, when ads are loaded or shown, Google's software in the Game may collect and process information such as:
- your device's advertising ID and your ad-personalisation setting;
- device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, app version and connection type;
- your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- information about ads you see and interact with (for example, whether an ad was shown, watched to the end or tapped);
- technical signals used for ad quality, measurement and fraud prevention.
Google's software may also use Android's Privacy Sandbox features (such as Topics and Attribution Reporting) where your device supports them and your device settings allow it.
Google uses this information to deliver ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance, detect fraud and, where permitted, show personalised ads. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
4.3 Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland
In these regions, the Game shows Google's consent form before any ad is requested. Ads load only after your choices allow it, and if you do not agree to personalised ads, Google may show non-personalised ads. You can change your choices at any time in the Game: Settings › Ad privacy choices.
The consent form is provided by Google, which receives technical information needed to show it and record your choice (such as your IP address and device information).
4.4 Your advertising choices
- Reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your device settings (on most devices: Settings › Privacy › Ads, or Settings › Google › Ads).
- Turn off Privacy Sandbox ad features in your device settings, where available.
- Choose not to watch rewarded ads: the Game is fully playable without them.
- Buy "Remove ads" to stop the ads between levels.
- Uninstall the Game to stop all data collection by the Game and its advertising partner.
5. In-app purchases
The Game sells optional virtual items: coin packs and a one-time "Remove ads". Purchases are made and paid through Google Play Billing. Your payment details are handled only by Google; we never see or store them. Google tells the Game which item was bought and gives an order ID, which the Game keeps on your device to deliver the item exactly once and to restore "Remove ads" if you reinstall. Virtual items have no real-world value and cannot be exchanged for money.
For refunds, see Google Play's refund policy or contact us at rmpuzzlegames.support@gmail.com.
6. Device permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Internet and network state | To load ads and to talk to Google Play for purchases. The Game itself can be played offline. |
| Google Play Billing (BILLING) | To make the optional in-app purchases described in Section 5. |
| Advertising ID (AD_ID) | Used by Google's ads software as described in Section 4. |
| Privacy Sandbox ad services (ad ID, Topics, Attribution) | Used by Google's ads software where supported. |
| Vibration | Optional haptic feedback; can be turned off in the Game's settings. |
| Wake lock, foreground service | Used by Android system libraries included with the ads and billing software to schedule background work. |
The Game does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, files, photos or location. Saving a shared picture uses Android's media store and needs no storage permission on Android 10 and later.
7. Technical data from the game engine
The Game is built with the Unity engine. Unity Technologies may automatically receive limited technical information about your device (such as device model, operating system and hardware capabilities) to support and improve its engine. See the Unity Privacy Policy.
8. Children
The Game is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly allow the collection of personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using the Game, contact us at rmpuzzlegames.support@gmail.com and we will help.
9. Data retention and deletion
Data on your device is kept until you delete it. You can delete it at any time with Settings › Reset progress in the Game, by uninstalling the Game, or with Settings › Apps › Tangle Worlds › Storage › Clear storage on your device. Pictures you shared stay in your Pictures folder until you delete them.
We do not store your data on our own servers, so we have no copy of your game data to delete. Google keeps advertising information according to its own retention policies; requests about that data are best sent to Google (Section 11). We are happy to help you with such a request.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct or delete it, to restrict or object to processing (including for advertising), to data portability, to withdraw consent at any time (in the Game via Settings › Ad privacy choices) and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Because we do not hold personal information about you, most requests concern data held by Google, which you can exercise directly with Google. You can also contact us and we will help.
Residents of certain US states. We do not sell personal information for money. Google may use device identifiers and related data for targeted advertising, which some US state laws may treat as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can limit this by deleting or resetting your advertising ID or opting out of ad personalisation in your device settings (Section 4.4).

- How Google uses information in advertising: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Unity Privacy Policy: https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy
12. International transfers
Google and the providers of the Android and Unity platforms may process information in countries other than the one you live in. They are responsible for the safeguards described in their own privacy policies.
13. Security
The Game stores your progress in its private app storage on your device, which other apps cannot normally access. Communication with Google's ads and billing services is encrypted. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we keep the information the Game handles to a minimum.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when we add new features. We will post the updated policy at the same address and change the "Last updated" date above. For significant changes, we will also let you know in the Game or on its Google Play page.
